This is me clearing the cobwebs on this blog yet again😌
This time with a different aim, and with a fresh perspective that has proven useful for me.
I have to come to a point where I have accepted that what I write and the things I discuss in my writings may not be for everybody. I think one of the reasons why I could not write as much as I should have in the past few months was because my writing felt stifled. Each time I start typing, it feels as though I am under the pressure to appeal to an audience. It’s hard to keep writing vulnerably and truthfully in that state.
With each writing I felt like my topic and delivery style had to be one that people who are interested in or new to the Christian faith have to perfectly relate to.
In trying not to shut people out, I shut myself out.
One of the core reasons why I started this blog was to document my experiences in God as I grow. And the truth is, not everyone will be able to relate to these articles. The writings won’t be perfect. Some will find what I write cringe, some will find it uncomfortable, but there will also be a handful of people who grasp the realities I’m trying to communicate.
My preoccupation now is to write with those people in mind.
I think I am starting to accept that my uniqueness as a person thoroughly translates into the way I process experiences and communicate them, and that’s not a weird thing.
It all points to the beauty of a creator God who made each individual with their different personalities and neurological makeup.
This is all for now peeps, see ya soon!🤭
With love,
Itaraoluwa
